RETURNS, REFUNDS & WARRANTY POLICY
Urban Crescent offers made-to-order furniture, handcrafted rugs, and ready-to-dispatch fragrance products. Due to the nature of our products, return, refund, and warranty conditions vary by category.
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Warranty & Delivery Conditions, which form part of every purchase.
Furniture (Made to Order)
All Urban Crescent furniture is made to order and produced based on confirmed specifications.
Once production has commenced, orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded.
Important to note:
- We do not offer refunds or cancellations for:
- Change of mind
- Design, colour, fabric, or finish preference
- Space incompatibility or incorrect measurements provided by the customer
- All custom and made-to-order furniture items are non-returnable
- Refunds are not provided for completed or partially completed furniture orders
Warranty in Place of Returns
Urban Crescent furniture is covered by a limited structural warranty as outlined in our Warranty document.
Where a verified manufacturing or workmanship defect arises:
- The applicable remedy is repair-first, in line with the warranty
- Replacement may be considered only where repair is not structurally possible
- Refunds are not offered as a remedy for warranty claims
Rugs (Handcrafted Products)
Urban Crescent rugs are handcrafted textile products.
- Rugs are non-returnable once delivered
- No refunds or exchanges are offered for:
- Preference dissatisfaction
- Colour variation
- Texture, pile height, shedding, or other characteristics inherent to handcrafted rugs
Craftsmanship Assurance
Rugs carry a craftsmanship assurance at delivery only, covering visible manufacturing defects present at the time of delivery.
Any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
Rugs do not carry a performance, wear, or longevity warranty.
Fragrance & Ready-to-Dispatch Products
Fragrance products (including candles, diffusers, oils, wax melts, and related items) are consumable goods.
- No returns, refunds, or exchanges are permitted once delivered or used
- Scent preference, throw strength, longevity, or personal reaction are not grounds for return
Items damaged in transit must be reported within 24 hours of delivery and may be replaced where damage occurred during shipping.
Fragrance products do not carry a usage or performance warranty.
General Conditions
- Services rendered (including grooming, cleaning, restoration, or care services) are non-refundable
- Store credit may be issued only in exceptional circumstances and at Urban Crescent’s discretion
- Proof of purchase is required for all warranty or defect-related claims
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights available to customers under applicable Nigerian consumer protection laws where such rights cannot lawfully be excluded.
